Please drive safe

December 6th, 2007 (03:20 pm)

Last night around 11 pm I was on my home from the radio station where I work and I had to pass through a heavy construction zone on I-95 North. As I was driving I started to realize that the right lane is slowly disappearing and that I need to merge. As I look to my left, the semi that was behind me had changed lanes to the left and sped up. I was pinned between him and the on coming construction barrels. As I clipped the first one, then a second I saw my right mirror shatter and in a split second had to decide what to do. In that fraction of time I saw a giant tire filling my left window and braced for an impact with the construction barricades. I clobbered 2 or 3 more of the barriers, fish tailed a bit as I hit the brakes and somehow managed to get into the left lane without hitting anyone! I pulled off the road, surveyed the damage and called the Florida Highway Patrol. It wasn't until I was home that I realized the severity of how close I had just come to being another statistic on the roadway. One bad choice to avoid the construction barrier could have thrown me under the semi.

So as your making your way to friends, relatives or where ever you may be headed this holiday, please drive safe and watch out for others around you.

Report: Coroner Trying To Determine Cause Of QUIET RIOT Singer's Death - Nov. 26, 2007

TMZ.com reports that Las Vegas Metro Police has confirmed that Kevin DuBrow, lead singer for '80s metal band QUIET RIOT, was found dead in his Las Vegas home.

According to TMZ.com, one of DuBrow's neighbors found the singer Sunday (November 25) around 5:20 p.m. The Clark County Coroner has confirmed that they are currently examining DuBrow's body to try to determine the cause of death.

Fellow bandmember Frankie Banali posted this message on his web site: "I can't even find words to say. Please respect my privacy as I mourn the passing and honor the memory of my dearest friend, Kevin DuBrow."

QUIET RIOT was the first metal band to top the Billboard chart and is perhaps best known for its cover of SLADE's "Cum on Feel the Noize".

In 2004, DuBrow recorded a collection of cover versions for his first solo album, "In for the Kill".

QUIET RIOT's latest studio CD, "Rehab", was released on October 3, 2006. The lineup on the album was Kevin DuBrow, Frankie Banali, Tony Franklin and Neil Citron. Legendary singer Glenn Hughes also made a guest vocal appearance on the LP.

Hey! Welcome to Parahub Radio's blog.

Blog. What a funny word. Who would've thought that it would take off and be a household term. If you said blog 15 years ago, people would have looked at you funny. And then put you in a little white jacket before the hauled you off. Anyhoo, we on the show will try to periodically "blog" some stuff to ya and let ya know whats going on our world. Recently a lot of us were at Ghostock 5 in Savannah Georgia. We manged to sneek in an investigation while we were there. Below are some of the photos.
